Silver Alert

          Florida’s Silver Alert* is a plan to help local police in
          locating someone who has a cognitive impairment,
          such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia and has
          become lost while driving a car or lost while on foot.
          Through the use of dynamic message signs along
          Florida roadways, Silver Alerts are broadcast to the
          public with vehicle information.

          To report a cognitively impaired missing person, please
          call your local law enforcement immediately. If you
          have information on an active Silver Alert, do not
          approach the vehicle, but immediately contact the
          Florida Highway Patrol by dialing *(star) 347.
